The private group reading license is available only to groups which meet the following requirements: 1) The number of participants ranges between 2-25, including minors, ages 7-17. 2) No ticket, registration, admission, or fee of any kind is being charged to participate. 3) There is no audience: everyone participating will be reading at least one role.

Amateur/non-equity advance estimate

Advance = (Average Expected Audience * Average Ticket Price * Number of Performances * 5%.) The final payment will be 10% of gross box office proceeds minus the advance. The minimum Amateur licensing fee is $50. The Final Payment brings the total production payment to the greater of either a) the Advance Payment or b) 10% of the gross box office. If 10% of the gross box office is less than or equal to the Advance Payment, then no Final Payment is due. If 10% of the gross box office is greater than the Advance Payment, then 10% of the overage amount is due as the Final Payment.
